Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
– Mary Oliver
I’m not good enough
I’m a fraud
I’m not worthy
There’s something wrong with me
Have such thoughts gone through your mind? Do you believe them? If so, you’re not alone. And these thoughts and the subsequent feelings are what keep us from living a full and meaningful life.
We all picked up beliefs from our families, our churches, our schools and culture that formed our early lives and molded how we see ourselves and the world. These beliefs helped us survive childhood but no longer serve us as adults.
We also carry unresolved emotions from past events, like fear, anxiety, anger, resentment, and shame. These unresolved emotions keep us distant in relationships, resentful of others, angry at ourselves, discouraged that nothing seems to work right, anxious about the future, and depressed that life seems so joyless.
Healing may not be so much about “getting better” as about letting go of everything that holds us back from accepting and becoming who we really are.
Therapy is the process of:
- Challenging these deep core beliefs
- Healing and releasing unresolved emotions from past events and traumas
- Recognizing patterns that no longer serve us and replacing them with ones that do
The benefits of therapy include:
- Freeing yourself up to your own deep, natural wisdom
- Living a more authentic, joyful, and fulfilling life
- Experiencing more fun and intimacy in relationships
- Feeling more confident and successful in a variety of situations
If you are motivated to do the work required to change and transform, then I have a simple message for you:
You can let go of the old patterns that no longer serve you and move into your own, authentic wisdom; that part of you that knows who you are, what you really want, knows your true worth and allows you to speak and act with clarity, confidence and compassion.
I help committed and responsible men and women heal, grow and live happy authentic lives.
